Come on out to Thursday Night Rocks for a ride through Rock Hill's rural gravel roads. This ride will be every other week through the summer and features a 25 miles route with 50/50 rural and hardpacked gravel roads. Recommended tire width is 35-38mm.
Typically, groups form if there are enough riders, and riders within each group will help lead. The target speed for the main group will be dependent on participants, but usually target 15-17 mph. Please keep in mind gravel usually rides slower than road riding, but this route features minimal elevation and there will be regroups after hills or when needed. Traditionally the main regroup is after a "race" section over 2 miles on Bookout Rd. where you can try to push for a new PR or set the road record, or cruise at your own pace.
